Burnout is not caused by doing too much. It is caused by giving too much to what does not return meaning. The body knows this long before the mind admits it. Exhaustion, resistance, the quiet dread of Sunday evenings — these are not signs of weakness. They are signals. The intelligent response is not to push harder. It is to listen.

Discipline is a tool. And like all tools, it only works when applied to the right material. Forcing yourself to perform against your own nature is not strength. It is a slow form of self-abandonment. The question is not whether you can endure more. The question is whether what you are enduring is worth it.

Alignment means living and working from what is actually true for you — not the version your conditioning assembled, not the identity you inherited, but the one underneath it. This does not happen by adding more. It usually happens by subtracting what was never yours to carry.

The path forward is rarely more effort. It is more honesty. About what matters. About what doesn't. About what you have been pretending for long enough.
